GENERAL INFORMATION:

- Homecoming is next week! Get excited! Here are the events that student council has planned for Monday:

     Dress Day: Marvel Monday, dress in your favorite Marvel character 

     Lunch Activity: Photo booth - Bring $1 and get your picture taken with your friends! 

     Night Activity: Staff/Student volleyball tournament, admission fee is 5 cans per person and will go towards the student hunger drive! 

 - If you are planning on playing in the powder puff football game or the volleyball tournament next week, please sign-up by Friday! Volleyball packets are due back to Mrs. Demory in the counseling office by Friday with your $20 entry fee. Powder puff girls, we need more freshman, sophomores and juniors to sign-up! Don't worry, it is touch football! It is so much fun, so get signed up soon! 

 - Homecoming shirts will be handed out during lunch as soon as they come in! More info to come on that!

 -Homecoming tickets will be on sale next week during lunch. Tickets are $10 for a single and $20 for a couple. Get your tickets early so you do not have to wait in line at the door! 

Class of 2020:   The deadline to have a senior picture included in the yearbook is quickly approaching.  Contact Photographic Arts as quickly as possible to schedule an appointment 762-6662.  The yearbook photo session is absolutely FREE, so get those appointments made soon!  If you are unable to go to the studio, never fear...you can still be a part of the yearbook.  Seniors will be able to have their picture taken at UTHS on October 1 from 7:30-1:15.

Are you registered to vote? Get registered on National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, September 24. Bring two forms of ID to lunch and we will help you get registered. You must be a U.S. citizen, turn 18 by November 3, 2020, and be an Illinois resident for the past 30 days to register. Remember: YOUR VOTE IS YOUR VOICE

 European Trip Openings

Have you always wanted to go to Berlin? Are you interested in visiting Auschwitz concentration camp? Want to experience the old world charm of Budapest? We have two spots open on our Eastern European trip this June. This makes a once in a life time graduation gift! If you are interested please stop by Mrs. Monson's room, 223E and pick up some information. These spots are open for a limited time. 

Speech team auditions have been moved to tomorrow. You will keep your same times!” 

CLUBS:

Attention Spanish Club we will be meeting today after school in room 256N.

 

Are you interested in current events, government, or the law? Do you love to debate? UT’s new club YMCA Youth & Government might be for you! Join teens across Illinois as you take on the roles of government officials. Become a leader who challenges the way we see the world. The program is limited to 10 students and will be first-come, first served. See Ms. Eisenband in room 216S for more information!  

 There will be a Student Council Meeting on Friday in the auditorium at 7:30 am. 

"Gamer's Club will meet this Friday from 3 to 5 in the Gallery."

Attention Anime Club members. Please remember to sign up in the library with Mrs. Carroll of you would like to march in the homecoming parade. Cosplay is encouraged!

GUIDANCE

Attention College bound seniors!  If you need help filling out the FAFSA or college applications, please sign up in the counseling office.  We will have a representative from ISAC here on Thursday mornings to assist you.  

In addition, we will have a college application day on Thursday, September 19th from 9am until 2pm.  At this time, our ISAC representative will help you fill out college applications.  In order to complete most college applications, you will need to know your social security number and have a credit or debit card to pay the application fee.  

College Visits: You must sign up in the Guidance Office in order to attend these college visits.
