Please consider joining us in the new UTHS Commons after school today Tuesday, October 22 to help celebrate the 1st quarter John Deere Award Winners. Refreshments will be provided.

3rd Quarter Driver Education “Blue Information Sheet” Pick Up

Attention 3rd Qtr. 2019 Driver Education Students who have successfully completed Classroom and Behind the Wheel you can pick up your “Blue Information Sheet” in the General Office “After School” today Tuesday October 22nd.   

 Hunger Drive is in full swing! The Hunger drive will run now until November 12th! November 12th is the last day to bring in cans! We will not be having an assembly this year, but we have other fun ideas in the works! A full list of activities will be coming out soon. In the meantime, our first two activities are the talent show and our Heavy weight champs! The talent show will be November 5th from 7-9pm. Sign-up in the main office now to be in the show! Heavy weight champs are those students that bring in 100 or more cans to their teachers! These students will be entered into a drawing for a new pair of Air pods! Teachers, please send Mrs. Demory names of students that bring in 100 or more to get them entered!

Attention juniors and seniors interested in Animal Science.  There is a free college course offered through Western Illinois University at the Quad Cities Campus.  Classes are in the mornings and would begin second semester.  If you are interested, please see your counselor.  There will also be an Agribusiness course offered next fall.

Any seniors planning to attend Black Hawk College in the fall have an opportunity to visit the campus and apply for free on Friday November 15th.  Anyone is able to apply to Black Hawk for free on November 15th, so even if you do not want to visit campus, fill out the online application if you are interested.  There is a permission slip and sign up in the counseling office.  

CLUBS:

There will be an FCA meeting this Wednesday at 7am in the girl’s gym.  We are having an exciting guest speaker this week that you won’t want to miss!  Everyone is welcome to attend and donuts are provided!  T shirts are still for sale - see Mr. Ellison for information!  

Our October selection for Book Club is Good Omens. Pick up a copy in the library and find out all about The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. Book club meets on the final Tuesday of each month in the library after school. You do not need to be a member of book club to check out the book and read it! You can read the book and stop by the library any time throughout the month to share your thoughts if you are unable to attend the meeting. All students and staff are welcome!

LUA will meet tomorrow after school in the library seminar room.

GSA meets Wednesday in room 206s

Anime Club meets this Friday after school in lab 109s.

SPORTS:

"If you missed the meeting for the Girls Bowling team please stop in and see Mrs. Krack in GYM B girl’s locker room by Friday October 25th."

There will be a mandatory meeting for everyone interested in wrestling this season on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29th after school in the room 205 SOUTH. There are open gyms every day this week and next week; today we'll be in the weight room. If you have any questions - contact the wrestling coaches.
