GENERAL INFORMATION:

Hunger drive activities kick-off next week! On Tuesday and Wednesday, if you bring in 15 cans before school or during lunch, you will receive a Hunger Drive t-shirt! Before school. The student council table will be located by the main entrance of the school and during lunch will be located in the student store in the commons area. Bring in those cans! Shirt sizes are first come first serve!

The Talent show will be on November 5th from 7-9pm in the auditorium. There is a sign-up sheet in the main office! We are looking for some great talent, so if you or someone you know, has an awesome talent, sign up! There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize this year! 

If you have passed classroom Driver Education and have a Permit and would like to take Behind The Wheel 2nd Quarter you will need to go to Mr. Burklund’ s room 259North start of period 4 or after school and update your Behind the Wheel Request Card. If you do not update your Behind the Wheel Request card you will not be assigned a Behind the Wheel Teacher. 

GUIDANCE: 

Colleges: You must sign up in the Guidance Office in order to meet with a representative from these colleges. .

Attention juniors and seniors interested in Animal Science.  There is a free college course offered through Western Illinois University at the Quad Cities Campus.  Classes are in the mornings and would begin second semester.  If you are interested, please see your counselor.  There will also be an Agribusiness course offered next fall.

Any seniors planning to attend Black Hawk College in the fall have an opportunity to visit the campus and apply for free on Friday November 15th.  Anyone is able to apply to Black Hawk for free on November 15th, so even if you do not want to visit campus, fill out the online application if you are interested.  There is a permission slip and sign up in the counseling office.  

Seniors, 4 new Scholarships have been added to the Scholarship list in the counseling office. Please stop in and check them out. 

CLUBS:

The first Girl Crush group meeting will be Monday, October 28th from 6-8pm in the Library! If you are interested in finding out what this group is about, please attend! Hope to see you there! 

SPORTS:

There will be a mandatory meeting for everyone interested in wrestling this season on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29th after school in the room 205 SOUTH.

There are open gyms every day this week and next week; today we'll be in the weight room. If you have any questions - contact the wrestling coaches.

Girls basketball will have open gym Tuesday 29th & Thursday 31st. 3:15-4:30

Lady Panther Basketball try-outs will be November 4th Monday 3:15-5 for Varsity & Sophomores. 5-6:30 for Freshman.

Attention all boys basketball players.  Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30 will be mandatory concussion testing with our school trainers immediately after school in the training room.  If you have not been tested this year you must be there.  This is a MUST
