GENERAL INFORMATION:

Yearbook sales are in full effect!  If you have not pre-ordered a 2019-2020 yearbook, you will definitely want to do so soon.  Yearbooks can be purchased in the Commons at the book store and online for $45 if prepaid by March 6.  After the 6th, the cost increases to $55 and the extra yearbooks are very limited.  You don't want to miss out on this memory keepsake! Reminder, you only have a few days left to get the lower price, so act quickly!

Attention all bilingual students! Do you speak Spanish, French, Arabic, or Chinese? Do you want to earn free college credits? If so, the Seal of Biliteracy is for you! We will start taking the tests to qualify for the Seal after spring break. If you already talked to Mrs. Erickson this fall, you don't need to sign up again; she will be in touch after spring break to set up a time to take the test. If you have not previously signed up, see Mrs. Erickson in room 261W for more information.

The Choir will present the Pops Concert this Thursday, March 5th, in the Auditorium at 7:00pm. The public is welcome and admission is free.  Please come and support these students in their music making! It will be quite an uplifting and powerful show!

For Music in our School Week, today's lunch activity is Music Jeopardy. We will play in teams in the Commons. Tomorrow's lunch activity is Guitar & Ukulele Day. Bring your own ukes and guitars and jam in the Commons. No amps will be provided. And Friday's lunch activity is Piano Contest - students can play their own prepared pieces for a chance to win a ticket to see the Musical Student Matinee in April.

Now it's time to play the trivia game. Congratulations to Mrs. Monson's class yesterday, who won with knowing the American author and screenwriter, Ray Bradbury, wrote the original short story "The Rocket Man", which is the inspiration of Elton John's song.

Today we will play a song and we're looking for you to fill in the next 8 words to finish the lyric. Good luck! and email your answers to Mrs. Minard.
