- Students and staff, voting for Homecoming court will start today and run through next Tuesday! Please go to the UT website and vote for the top 12 females and 12 males that you think would be best to represent UT as this year's Homecoming court! You must login with your UT email address or it will not let you vote.

- Homecoming activities will be posted later today! Be looking for them on the UT website and social media!

 - All Homecoming activities will have a certain capacity of students that can attend. Because of this, we will have sign-ups for each night activity. Masks will be required at each activity! The sign-up sheets for the activities will be sent out through email soon, so be watching for those!

"Congratulations to all who competed in the Optimist Oratorical Contest last night! It was the largest contest we have ever held with 10 students writing wonderful speeches on the topic "Healing the World with Optimism." Thank you to Mr. Wright and Mrs. VanNatta for judging last night! Samantha Ross placed third, Viviana Mina placed second, and Omnia Salih placed first! Omnia and Viviana will advance to the next level of competition and compete for even more scholarships. Congratulations again!

Attention all bilingual students! Do you speak a language other than English like Spanish, French, Arabic, Hakha Chin, or Mandarin Chinese? Do you want to earn free college credits? If so, the Seal of Biliteracy is for you! Come see Mrs. Erickson in 157N before or after school or email her at kerickson@uths.net.

 CLUBS:

The UTHS National Honor Society has sent emails to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors who qualify to apply for membership.  SPORTS:

Softball tryouts for the 2021 season will be Monday April 5th & Tuesday April 6th from 3:30-5:30pm. Tryouts will be held on the UT softball fields located on the north side of the school campus. If you have any questions please see Coach Alonzo.

Any student wanting to try out for baseball next Monday, April 5th, should see Mr. Meyers in room 121E for tryout information.  Athletes who are playing a sport right now and want to play baseball should also see Mr. Meyers in room 121E as there will be separate tryouts for those athletes so it will not interfere with their current sport.

"There will be a girls soccer open gym tonight, Thursday April 1st at the UT Soccer Field from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Tryouts for Girls Soccer begin next week. A schedule is posted on the Girls Soccer Google Classroom. See Coach Davila if you have any questions.

"Any boys interested in playing tennis this season should meet at the UT tennis courts starting this Monday, April 5th at 3:30. If you have any questions, you can check out our Facebook page @ UTHS BOYS TENNIS or email Coach Cross or Coach Brown."
