GENERAL INFORMATION:  

 

The Speech Team is getting ready to recruit for the upcoming season! This IHSA competitive activity consists of 14 events ranging from traditional speech-giving, acting, radio broadcast, poetry reading, and more! There will be an informational meeting Friday, September 10th, at 3:15 in Mr. Greer's room, 224E. We hope to see many people there! Have questions before the meeting? Ask Mr. Greer or Mrs. VanNatta."

Homecoming week is right around the corner so get excited UT! There will be activities both during lunch and in the evening, as well as dress up themes through the week. Please look for flyers around the building for lunch and night activities.

 

Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be sold on Monday 9/13, Tuesday 9/14, and Wednesday 9/15 during all lunch periods.”

 

GUIDANCE:

 

Attention all dual credit students.  Do you need help paying for your dual credit classes?  There is a grant available you can now apply for.  The funds are first come, first serve, so the sooner you apply the better.  Please stop in the counseling office and see Cindy or Mrs. Drish for the website.  

 

Attention seniors!  Do you need help filling out college applications or applying for financial aid?  We will have a representative coming to UT on Wednesdays from 8am until noon. If you would like to work with them, please sign up in the counseling office with Cindy.  

 

College Visits: need to sign up in the Guidance Office with Cindy before attending.

The Navy will have a booth in the lunchroom on Monday September 13th during the lunch times. Please only attend during your scheduled lunch time. 

 

Looking for a part time job?  Aspen Healthcare is looking for a student to help with Laundry and Housekeeping. 18-24 hours a week $11.00 an hour. Come see Cindy in the Counseling Office.

 

Thinking about college, but not sure where to start? Black Hawk College invites you to College Night Thursday, September 30th from 5:00-6:30. Please stop by counseling for a handout.

 

Quad Cities International airport is having a "Girls in Aviation Day" Saturday, September 25th 10:00 - 4:00. You must register. Stop by the counseling office for the QR Code.

 

 

CLUBS:

 

“There will be a Student Council meeting this Friday September 10th at 7:30AM. We hope to see you all there!

 

There will be an Aimee club meeting tomorrow after school as usual.

 

SPORTS

 

If you have not picked up information for the Girls Bowling team please stop in and see Mrs. Krack in GYM B girls’ locker room by Friday.

Reminder, girls’ basketball Open gym after school today. This is for anyone trying out for basketball that is not participating in a fall sport. It starts immediately after school 310 until 4 PM Gym A See Coach Walker if you have any questions.
