GENERAL INFORMATION:

UT will be participating in the 25th annual US Marine Corps Toys For Tots This year over 5,000 families will register for assistance, which translates to over 14,000 children who would not have a toy under the tree without your gracious donations. You can help the less fortunate children by donating a new unwrapped toy; simply drop it off in Mr. Becklund’s room at 259N or in the General Office by Tuesday December 14thTwo evening field trips open to all UT students to the Toys For Tots Distribution Center are planned for Thursday December 9th and Tuesday December 14thbut space is limited to only “25” students per night; pick up permission slips in 259 northIf you know of a family who may be in need help this Christmas they will need to register Online at the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots website Registration ends December 1st 

GUIDANCE:

Are you interested in Dental Assisting? A Representative from Dental Assisting Technology will be here on Friday, December 10th 2nd hour. They will go over questions that you may have regarding the dental field and help with any registration questions you may have.

 Attention students interested in pursuing a career in the Law Enforcement field! December 8th, 2021 from 9-10:00, there will be a Virtual Information Session open to all interested students. The event will be live-streamed. Students will hear from and be able to ask questions of a - Judge, Court Reporter, Probation Officer, Sheriff and a County Attorney If you are interested you must fill out a google form and also sign up in the Counseling Office.

Are you interested in nursing or X-Ray? Trinity College of nursing will be here on Tuesday, December 14th 3rd hour. If you would like to attend this meeting please sign up in the Counseling Office

CLUBS:

There will be a Youth & Government meeting today Thursday, Dec. 2, after school in room 216S. Please bring your Chromebooks.

 "Gamer's Club will meet this Friday from 3 to 5 in the Gallery.  If you plan to ride the activities bus home, you must know your address."

BOOK CLUB

The Book Club selection for December is: The Hill We Climb and other poems by National Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman. Amanda is the youngest presidential inaugural poet in US history. She is a committed advocate for the environment, racial equality, and gender justice. You may order and pick up a copy in the library.  SPORTS:

There will be a short informational meeting today Thursday in room 121E immediately after school for any freshman interested in playing baseball this spring. This meeting is for athletes not currently in a winter sport and it will cover winter workouts leading up to the spring tryouts.
