GENERAL INFORMATION:

Testing information for April 13 and April 14-

Attention Juniors and Seniors. All juniors and some seniors are required by the state to complete the SAT with essay test on Wednesday, April 13.  We will start promptly at 8am and you will be dismissed at 1:30.  Please bring a lucky pencil and a calculator.  There will a snack available during a scheduled break.  Bus runs will be at the normal time in the morning and breakfast will be served.  Those not testing on Wednesday will not be in attendance.

Attention Freshman and Sophomores. All freshmen and all sophomores are required by the state to complete the PSAT on Thursday, April 14.  We will start promptly at 8am and you will be dismissed at Noon.  Please bring a lucky pencil and a calculator.  Bus runs will be at the normal time in the morning and breakfast will be served.  Those not testing on Thursday will not be in attendance.

Please check the posted room lists before your test day.  They are posted in the Commons, Gallery, and across from the cafeteria entrance.  You may pick up the student guide to your test at the Student Store during lunch.

Students with 504 or IEP accommodations may have different testing times.  These times are being communicated individually.

GUIDANCE:

Attention seniors - there is one new scholarship posted. This one is for students pursuing a degree in law enforcement or a related field. Applications are in the filing cabinet and are due to Mrs. Drish on April 19th at noon.

"Are you interested in glass blowing? Hot Glass Inc. is inviting UT Students to a one day training where students will receive hands-on training, learn shop safety, and learn basic glass making techniques. Spots are limited, sign up with Ms. Petit in the counseling office."

Rock Island High School is hosting a Construction Trades Career Expo for interested students. Eleven local apprenticeships and unions will be present. The fair will be held April 13th from 3:30-5pm in the high school gym.

"Gamer's Club will meet this Friday from 3 to 5 in the Gallery.  If you plan to ride the activities bus home, you must know your address."

FCA will have a huddle meeting Tuesday morning at 7:00am in Gym A. Join us for snacks, games, and a lesson about Walking with God. We will also learn about FCA Summer Sports Camp opportunities from guest speaker, Michael Luna.

There will be an informational meeting for all those interested in playing volleyball next year next Monday, April 11th immediately after school in the girls gym. If you cannot attend the Monday meeting due to another scheduled athletic event, please stop by the athletic office and leave your name and email. Thank you!
