Testing information for April 13 and April 14-
Attention Juniors and Seniors. All juniors and some seniors are required by the state to complete the SAT with essay test on Wednesday, April 13. We will start promptly at 8am and you will be dismissed at 1:30. Please bring a lucky pencil and a calculator. There will a snack available during a scheduled break. Bus runs will be at the normal time in the morning and breakfast will be served. Those not testing on Wednesday will not be in attendance.
Attention Freshman and Sophomores. All freshmen and all sophomores are required by the state to complete the PSAT on Thursday, April 14. We will start promptly at 8am and you will be dismissed at Noon. Please bring a lucky pencil and a calculator. Bus runs will be at the normal time in the morning and breakfast will be served. Those not testing on Thursday will not be in attendance.
Please check the posted room lists before your test day. They are posted in the Commons, Gallery, and across from the cafeteria entrance. You may pick up the student guide to your test at the Student Store during lunch.
Students with 504 or IEP accommodations may have different testing times. These times are being communicated individually.
GUIDANCE:
Attention seniors - there is one new scholarship posted. This one is for students pursuing a degree in law enforcement or a related field. Applications are in the filing cabinet and are due to Mrs. Drish on April 19th at noon.

Rock Island High School is hosting a Construction Trades Career Expo for interested students. Eleven local apprenticeships and unions will be present. The fair will be held April 13th from 3:30-5pm in the high school gym.
"Are you looking for a fun and interactive way to explore different career options? On Wednesday, April 27th we will be hosting a Career Fair from 2-4 in the Commons. There will be careers and companies such as a speech pathologist, Valley Construction, an analytical engineer, Kimberly Crest Veterinary Hospital, a realtor, QC Customs Tees, and much more. The Career Fair will be open to all grades, and an activity bus will be available if needed. Got talent? The L.O.V.E. Club and Blackhawk Community College are putting on a Multicultural Talent Show on Friday April 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm located at Blackhawks Theater. Seats are limited in the theater but we have plenty of overflow rooms available and it will be live streamed. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the talent show. Don’t have talent? We have a cultural dress fashion show that you can participate in as well.
