UT Boosters is bringing back Project Graduation!
It will be at UTHS after graduation on June 4th, from 10:00pm to 4:00am.
It is an event celebrating you and your success!
There will be games, food, and prizes!

UTHS Students:

We are happy to announce some new Summer School opportunities this school year.  Not only will we be running our normal credit recovery options, we will be also offering opportunities to take courses for first credit.

We have a multitude of incredibly unique course offerings with various delivery methods.  These delivery methods include online, hybrid, or in person.  Please see the course offerings on UTHS.net.  Please sign up for the courses with your counselor.  The deadline to take advantage of these opportunities is May 13th.

Prom royalty voting is now open. You can access the form at www.tinyurl.com/UTHSProm2022 Voting closes on Friday at noon. 

Prom ticket sales are now on sale in the Student Store during lunch only. They are $20 each, payable by cash or check. Tickets will be sold at school through today Thursday. We are NOT selling tickets on Friday. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $25 each. All students will need their student ID to get into the dance.  Just a reminder that only Juniors and Seniors can purchase tickets. 

Did you know that half of eligible youth voted in 2020, an 11-Point increase from 2016?  It’s our Spring Voter Registration Drive! If you are a citizen and will be 18 by Nov 8, 2022, you can register to vote! Today through Friday, register to vote in the Commons during lunch. Bring a state-issued ID and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. Remember: Your vote is your voice!

Tonight, the Fine Arts Department will present the Art Show & Madrigal Concert. The Art Show begins at 6pm in the south hallway; and the Concert begins at 6:30pm in the Commons. Admission is free. Mrs. Blome and Mr. Nevenhoven will display students' artwork for viewing starting at 6pm. All UT Singers and Concert Choir students will be performing along with special guests from the Glenview Middle School Choir starting at 6:30pm.Join students as they travel back in time with madrigal music and costumes for this May Day celebration; they are transforming our space into a garden and castle for a unique way to celebrate the coming of summer as in days of olde.

Friday will be L with Lunch on the Lawn (pay $1 to go outside for lunch)

GUIDANCE:

Attention seniors.  There is a new scholarship opportunity available in the counseling office.  Applications may be picked up starting Friday.  Requirements for the Pat Van Bruwaene scholarship include being:

  • A United Township Senior who played a varsity sport
  • In good Academic Standing
  • Having a significant financial need
  • Plans to attend a College or University the Fall following graduation   The scholarship deadline is very short, as Sr. Awards are approaching quickly.  Please stop by for the application

Looking for an awesome summer job. Team Corn Detasseling is looking for hard and reliable workers. Please stop by and pick up an application in the Counseling Office.

Are you looking for a summer job? Summit Materials is looking for 10 hardworking 18 year olds to work in their fast growing concrete and asphalt company. Starting pay is $18.00 an hour and 40 hours a week. Stop by the Counseling Office for more information.

Are you looking for a retail job in a busy outlet? Seventh Avenue in North Park Mall is hiring. $15.00 an hour with advancement opportunities.

Attention seniors planning to attend a 2 year vocational school. There is a new scholarship opportunity worth $2,500. Please stop by the counseling office and look for the Marlene A. Smith foundation scholarship to apply. Applications are due May 13th. 

"If you are interested in a career in education or sports, go to the counseling office to sign up for a field trip to Augustana College. You will hear from multiple education and sports professionals, get a tour of the campus, and eat lunch in the dining hall. For more information talk to Ms. Petit."
