GENERAL INFORMATION:

UTHS Students:

We are happy to announce some new Summer School opportunities this school year.  Not only will we be running our normal credit recovery options, we will be also offering opportunities to take courses for first credit.

We have a multitude of incredibly unique course offerings with various delivery methods.  These delivery methods include online, hybrid, or in person.  Please see the course offerings on UTHS.net.  Please sign up for the courses with your counselor.  The deadline to take advantage of these opportunities is May 13th.

 Hey students! Are you a U.S. Citizen living in Rock Island County? Are you at least 16 years old? Do you want to make a difference in our democracy and get paid to do it?  Today Wednesday The antique automobile club will be here with some of their cars from 1932 to mid-70s. Any future auto mechanics, auto body students or any one that just appreciates classic cars is welcome to come by auto mechanics and check them out on their free time.  On Friday the drag car will be here on display.  Anyone that will be a future auto mechanic, auto body student are welcome. Cars will be here all day on both days.

 GUIDANCE:

If you are interested in learning more about dual credit, Black Hawk College is hosting a virtual information night. The meeting will take place Thursday, May 12th at 6pm. If interested, stop by the counseling office. 

Several new jobs available, stop by the counseling office for a new list.

Attention seniors planning to attend a 2 year vocational school. There is a new scholarship opportunity worth $2,500. Please stop by the counseling office and look for the Marlene A. Smith foundation scholarship to apply. Applications are due May 13th. 

Are you looking to volunteer or complete community service hours?  Unity Point is looking for help with customer service, delivering flowers and checking in patients.If interested please stop by the counseling office

CLUBS:

"Robotics / Engineering 001 Club is cancelled until further notice. There will be an announcement when we can resume meeting."

SPORTS

"There will be a meeting for all boys who are going to try-out for soccer next year today Wednesday, May 11th. It will start promptly at 3:10pm and will end at approximately 3:40pm. It will be held in Room 161 West. Please see Coach Davila or Coach King if you have any questions."

Attention boys’ basketball players - Anyone that played in the boys’ basketball program this season or that is interested in summer camp there will be an informational meeting this Thursday, May 12th right after school in the Panther Den.  We will be discussing summer camp opportunities.
