Students, if you ride a bus, it is required that you have your ID on.  It helps the bus drivers identify UT students and helps us know if you are on the correct bus.

Picture Days are here!

Photographic Arts will be at UTEC on Tuesday, and at UT for Freshmen Wednesday, Sophomores and Juniors Thursday, and Seniors on Friday. Students will get their pictures taken during their English class. Seniors who do not have a first semester English class will have to go to the auditorium on their own time from 7:30-3:00 on Friday (and Friday only because the backdrop is different from the underclassmen). HATS AND HOODS ARE NOT ALLOWED. There are no order forms! Each student will receive a picture day card with viewing and ordering information. Parents and guardians, please ask your children for their cards. If the cards are lost, call Photographic Arts 309-762-6662. Make-up and retake day for all students is scheduled for September 26. If you have any additional questions, contact Mrs. Green in 126E or email [email protected].

"It's already time for the fall play! The Panther Players is UT's drama club, and we are looking for actors, stage crew, tech crew, and set builders for this year's fall play, "The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens" by Billy St. John. Ever want to commit a murder? Walter, the playwrights alter ego in this madcap mystery, demonstrates just how to do someone in (in your imagination, of course!). After introducing the audience to tyrannical millionaire Edward Worthington's relatives, business associates, and household staff, most of whom have reason to wish the man dead, Walter exits, only to reappear in a tuxedo as Worthington. Gathered on a stormy evening at Worthington Manor to celebrate Edward's fiftieth birthday are his attractive wife, her playboy brother, Edward's befuddled older sister, his ex-wife and his daughter, a college student. Also present are his shady lawyer and his uptight business manager with his giddy wife and sexy southern secretary as well as the butler, the housekeeper, the maid and the cook. Each has a motive that is barely established when the lights go out! Seconds later they come back on to reveal the knife for the birthday cake protruding from Edward's back. In Act II, the police detective also played by Walter investigates, eventually allowing the audience to question or accuse suspects before the killer's identity is revealed in a surprising climax. There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in taking part in this hilarious show next Tuesday, August 9th at 3:15 in the auditorium. If you need bus transportation, then let Mr. Greer (224E) or Ms. Weber (217S) know ASAP. We hope to see you there!"
