GENERAL INFORMATION:

"Attention all theater students! You are now eligible to sign up for the Illinois High School Theater Festival on January 12-14, 2023 at the University of Illinois. This is an amazing opportunity to see fantastic student performances, audition for colleges, and attend workshops to help you improve every aspect of your theater skills. Cost to attend is $150, but paperwork and the $55 deposit are due by Monday, August 22nd. Paperwork can be picked up from Mr. Greer's room, 224E. Let him know if there are any questions!"

CLUBS:

Attention ALL student athletes!  FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will host its kick off huddle this Tuesday, August 16th at 7am in Gym A. 

Come learn about FCA, how you can have fun and grow in faith with friends old and new right here at school, and how FCA's focuses on integrity, service, teamwork, and excellence. See Mrs. Mital in 151N with any questions.

If anyone is interested in Peer Mentoring this year please go see Cindy Ogle in the counseling office for the paperwork.

Please come and join us for our First Fosters Voice meeting this Thursday, August 18th in the girl’s gym A at 7:30am. Bring a friend and come to have fun as donuts are provided.

Student Council would like to welcome all students to our next meeting of the year on August 19th, at 7:30am in the Gallery. Come learn more about Homecoming shirts, themes, and planning. Also, for any incoming 9th graders interested in the Freshman Representative position, applications will be available in the general office through the rest of the week."

GUIDANCE:

Are you interested in the Army? Staff Sergeant Joshua Collins will be here on Thursday August 18th. 3rd hour. To attend you must sign up in the Counseling Office.

If you are a senior and need to take the SAT, please sign up in the Counseling Office by August 22nd

"Are you interested in joining the military? Pleasant Valley High School is hosting a military night on September 7th. There will be representatives from all military branches, academies, ROTC programs, and Government staff. For more information, go to the counseling office." 

"St. Ambrose University is hosting a Multimedia Day on September 22. Students will get to choose three 45 minute sessions to attend on campus. The session choices are TV, Radio, Journalism, and Graphic Design/Marketing. Sign up in the counseling office."

SPORTS

Special Olympics bowling is looking for students who would like to participate in unified sports and pair up with a special Olympics athlete to bowl with. If interested, please contact Jill Sanders-Colgan.
