Students, this Friday is the Homecoming assembly.  This year's SENIORS are the only students in the building that have experienced this AWESOME event in the gym.  Many were able to participate last year in the assembly in the evening at Soule Bowl, but having it in the gym is a completely new experience.

As such, we wanted to offer the following guidance going into the event.

Here is the most important information:

  • We will run an 8 period schedule that starts at 8 and ends at 10:59.  Students will still report to the cafeteria/commons during the period that is typically their lunch.
  • Students need to attend all 8 of their classes.
  • No one is allowed in the gym prior to the end of 8th period
  • Grade levels sit together to cheer each other on and compete in class competitions
  • No book bags
  • Upon dismissal at 12:30 there will be ONE bus run
  • Have fun and be loud!

Attention all UT and UTEC students and staff: Picture retake and makeup day is Monday, September 26. Pictures will be taken in the auditorium from 7:30-3:00. Their teachers will not escort students during a specific class period, so they will need to go on their own time (before school, at lunch, or during a class period as long as they have teacher permission). Students will then receive a picture card that contains viewing and ordering information. If the card is lost, contact Photographic Arts at 309-762-6662. UT staff DOES NOT have this information. Please note, this is the FINAL opportunity to get pictures taken at the school. Students are highly encouraged to get their pictures taken on Monday to ensure portraits are included in the 2022-23 yearbook.
