A message from your friendly neighborhood band director, Mr. W... please refrain from parking in the northwest corner of the school during 1st quarter - the Marching Panthers appreciate your help, and we can't wait to showcase our Panther Pride at our home football games and marching competitions! Thanks for your help!

CLUBS:

GUIDANCE:

Want to earn Community Service Hours? Hampton Youth Committee is looking for volunteers from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, to help with their Color Run. Volunteers will take a plastic bottle and spray colored powder on runners and walkers as they go by. See Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, for questions or to sign up.

SPORTS:

For anyone interested in joining girls' tennis this year, there will be a quick informational meeting after school on Friday in Coach Cahalan's room 226E. Please see Coach Cahalan if you cannot attend. Practice will begin next Monday, 8/11, after school at the tennis courts.

Interested in playing golf? Please contact Coach Gunneman via email (cgunneman2@uths.net) as soon as possible. Tryouts will be held Monday, August 11th, at Golf Mohr at 3:45 pm. Thank you!

Anyone interested in joining the Cross Country Team, please attend our meeting on Monday, August 11th, right after school in Room 196V (the wood shop). If you are unable to make the meeting, please email Coach Webber for information.

The Panther Players (the school drama club) is holding an informational meeting for the fall play on Wednesday, August 13th at 3:15 in the auditorium. This year's fall production consists of two one-act plays: "A Jury of Her Peers" and "Anybody for Tea". Using drama and comedy, these two 40-minute plays explore gender stereotypes and how individuals interact with society and government forces. A brief summary of each play can be found outside 224E or on the doors to the auditorium. Panther Players is looking for students interested in acting, set design and construction, lighting and sound design, props design, and backstage crew. We are a large club who actively want to teach valuable skills that students can use beyond high school. Direct questions to Mr. Greer in 224E, or email Mrs. Julia Jackson at jjackson@uths.net. We hope to see you in the auditorium on Wednesday!
