In our session, we'll cover everything from how this opportunity will benefit you, what's included in the experience, how we'll keep the trip safe and affordable, and much more. ALTERNATIVES, a social services organization located in Moline, IL, is looking for student volunteers. If you are interested in helping and making a positive impact in the life of senior citizens, please see Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, for more information.

GUIDANCE:

Students, tonight Black Hawk College is hosting its 'Transfer Night' event. For those students who will be attending Black Hawk College and then transferring to one of the Illinois state schools after Black Hawk, you should plan on attending.

Students, this week, the following events will take place at UT: 

1) Tues, Sep 30, the U.S. Navy will visit UT; 

2) Wed, Oct 1, ISAC rep will visit with students regarding FAFSA; And, the University of Dubuque will be at UT during Period 6 - sign up in the Counseling Office, and the United States Coast Guard will also be visiting UT; and,

3) Thur, Oct 2, the U.S. Army will be at UT. If you have questions, see your school counselor or Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.

Calling all freshmen! Come fuel up on Tuesday after school before cheering on your Panthers. Link Crew is having a cookout for freshmen at the softball concessions area from 3-5 pm. Food is provided; bring your student ID, and we will have bus passes if you need them.

The speech team had an amazing turnout at our informational meeting on Friday! Those interested in officially joining the team need to sign the form outside Mr. Greer's room, 224E. Couldn't make the meeting? Send Mr. Greer an email and he will share the presentation with you. Please sign up no later than this Wednesday, October 1st.

Student Council will not be meeting this week. We will see you after the break!

Happy homecoming week, Panthers! Today, the lunch activity will be a Kahoot. The night activity for tonight is Fun Night, which will be from 6 to 8 pm at the UT Tennis Courts. Octeen will have drinks for sale! The theme for tomorrow will be East Egg vs West Egg! Wear your country club or comfy outfit tomorrow! Also, homecoming ticket sales will begin today at lunch and last the remainder of the week. The cost is 13 dollars for singles and 25 dollars for couples.
