Students who ride the bus, please pay attention, as this may affect you:

Going forward, BUS 25 will be one run at dismissal. Once again, there will be no second run for bus 25, only one bus run at dismissal.

Friday, October 17th, is Pre-ACT practice day.  All 9th through 11th graders will be taking the Pre-ACT test.  Normal Bus Runs in the morning.  Dismissal will be at 11:15.  Please bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook, a calculator, and a lucky pencil.  Seniors will not be in attendance on Friday. It is important that students arrive on time.  Students who are excessively late WILL NOT be admitted to disrupt testing.

ALTERNATIVES, a social services organization located in Moline, IL, is looking for student volunteers. If you are interested in helping and making a positive impact on the lives of senior citizens, please see Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, for more information.

Seniors, this is a reminder that we have our senior cap and gown meeting on Thursday, October 16th, during 2nd period.  This is a required meeting, and all seniors will need to report to the auditorium for the meeting.

Students, this week in review:

U.S. Navy will visit UT today in the Commons area during all 3 lunch periods.

ISAC rep, Ms. Eden DeTombe, will visit UT on Wednesday, October 15, from 9 - 11:30.

U.S. Army is scheduled to visit UT on Thursday, October 16, during all 3 lunch periods, and the University of Missouri will visit UT on Thursday, October 16, during Period 4

To visit with the ISAC rep and the University of Missouri, please sign up in the Guidance Office.

SPORTS:

Tonight, the Boys Soccer team will host Moline at 6:00 at the Panther Pitch.  The boys are now 5 and 0 in the conference and 14 and 2 overall with a chance to win the outright conference title for the first time in over a decade.  The Panthers shared the title last season with the Maroons and will need all the support they can get tonight to win it outright.  JV starts at 4:30 and Varsity at 6:00. Let's pack the pitch tonight, so come show your support for the Boys tonight!  Go Panthers!

CLUBS:

Attention students! If you want to learn more about HOSA and how to get involved, join the HOPE club in room 189V on Wednesday October 15 from 3:15 to 5:00pm.

East Moline needs volunteers to help with their downtown Halloween festival this Friday. The fest is from 5-7 pm. Make-up and costumes are provided. If interested, contact Mrs. Drish

Buzz Buzz! We're back, Honey Bees. It's time for our annual Honey Bee fall retreat on October 25, 2025, from 8:30 am-3:00 pm. Please RSVP by this Friday, October 17th, to save your spot. You can find the rsvp form in the Google Classroom AND during lunches on the screens. New this year, if you have always wanted to be a Honey Bee, you can nominate yourself. You can find that form on the screens in the commons. Please see Ms. Clearman or Ms. Jackson with questions.

The Panther Players are getting right to it! The informational meeting for our winter play, THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ, is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 15th, at 3:30 in the auditorium. We will go over all of the available cast and crew positions as well as audition and sign-up information. Everyone knows the classic tale of Dorothy traveling "Over the Rainbow" to the great land of Oz, leading to the defeat of the Wicked Witch of the West. Join us tomorrow to learn how you can be involved! Can't make the meeting? Reach out to Mr. Greer by email, and he will share all of the information. We hope to see you there!"

On Friday, October 17th, we will not have a student council meeting and check Google Classroom for updates and to sign up for the can collection volunteer event this Sunday.
