Attention all students! Please remember to bring your physical school ID or a picture of your school ID to the game against the team down the road this Friday. Again, this message is from the deans and the front gate personnel: "You will not be able to gain access to the game unless you have your ID in hand or a picture of the ID on your phone. Skyward app WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!" Please visit the student store to obtain a school ID.
Friday, October 17th, is Pre-ACT practice day. All 9th through 11th graders will be taking the Pre-ACT test. Normal Bus Runs in the morning. Dismissal will be at 11:15. Please bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook, a calculator, and a lucky pencil. Seniors will not be in attendance on Friday. It is important that students arrive on time. Students who are excessively late WILL NOT be admitted to disrupt testing.
Seniors, this is a reminder that we have our senior cap and gown meeting on Thursday, October 16th, during 2nd period. This is a required meeting, and all seniors will need to report to the auditorium for the meeting.
Congratulations to all of our student musicians named to ILMEA All-District Festivals. UTHS has 27 students representing the band, orchestra, choir, and jazz choir. Names will be posted in the marquis outside the Auditorium later today.
GUIDANCE:
Students, the University of Missouri will be at UT on Thursday, Oct 16. The University is known for its journalism and medical programs, including a veterinary school (the only vet school in the state of Missouri). Want to know more? Sign up in the Guidance Office to visit with the representative.
Students, please join us at the first-ever UTHS College Fair on October 23, 2025. The event will take place in Gym B from 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is open to all seniors and juniors, and also only to sophomores enrolled in college prep and accelerated classes.
If you plan on attending, please see your teacher, school Counselor, or Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.

East Moline needs volunteers to help with their downtown Halloween festival this Friday. The fest is from 5-7 pm. Make-up and costumes are provided. If interested, contact Mrs. Drish
Buzz Buzz! We're back, Honey Bees. It's time for our annual Honey Bee fall retreat on October 25, 2025, from 8:30 am-3:00 pm. Please RSVP by this Friday, October 17th, to save your spot. You can find the rsvp form in the Google Classroom AND during lunches on the screens. New this year, if you have always wanted to be a Honey Bee, you can nominate yourself. You can find that form on the screens in the commons. Please see Ms. Clearman or Ms. Jackson with questions.
The Panther Players are getting right to it! The informational meeting for our winter play, THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ, is tomorrow at 3:30 in the auditorium. We will go over all of the available cast and crew positions as well as audition and sign-up information. Everyone knows the classic tale of Dorothy traveling "Over the Rainbow" to the great land of Oz, leading to the defeat of the Wicked Witch of the West. On Friday, October 17th, we will not have a student council meeting and check Google Classroom for updates and to sign up for the can collection volunteer event this Sunday.
