Are you a sophomore or junior?  Are you interested in learning more about how school government works?  The UTHS Board of Education has an opening for a student Board of Education Liaison member.

One student will be selected to fill out the remainder of this year and beyond, depending on your grade. Interviews will likely take place in December, with hopeful seating at the January 12 Board meeting.

A job description and application are available in the General Office, and also on the UTHS website.  Applications will be accepted through 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21, and are to be submitted to the General Office..

SPORTS:

Spending time at the pool is a year-round activity! Any boys looking for a winter sport, make a splash with swimming and diving! The season starts on Monday, November 24th, and further information can be found at the pool with head coach Allison Patch.

CLUBS:

Attention Students! The student council is not meeting this week. Instead, we will be taking our picture in the auditorium this Friday at 7:30 am. All students who need to purchase a shirt should do so in Ms. Colgan's room, located next to the wrestling room.

Hey students! P7 will be meeting again this Friday at 7:15AM in Mrs. Pueblas' room 251N. Come for snack, games, fun, and a lesson! Can't wait to see you all there!

Multicultural Club will be hosting Thanksgiving Grams! Please stop by the table in the Commons during lunch on Thursday or Friday to fill out a Thanksgiving Gram for someone you are thankful for.

Hey Honey Bees! Our Annual Queensgiving event will be held on November 20th at 315 in room 187V, Mrs. Jackson's room.  Please go in to your Google Classroom for more details and to RSVP for the event. Please do so by Monday, November 17th. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Jackson or Ms. Clearman.

November is No Shave November, a month dedicated to raising awareness for cancer prevention, research, and support for those affected by cancer.

Did you know that 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime? No Shave November encourages people to embrace their hair—the hair many cancer patients lose during treatment—and donate the money they would normally spend on shaving or grooming to cancer-related causes. To learn more, stop by the H.O.P.E. Club’s educational table during all lunch periods on Thursday, November 13th. There, you can pick up information and show your support for those fighting cancer. Let’s come together as a school community to raise awareness!
