On Wednesday, January 7, all 10th and 12th grade students will take the Illinois Youth Survey during their PE class.
The Illinois Youth Survey (IYS) is a self-report survey conducted in the spring of even years. The survey covers a variety of topics including drug use and perceptions, violence, bullying, depression, school climate, nutrition, and fitness.
The IYS is voluntary and every family has been notified about the IYS via email. This notice included the Parent Notification Letter with an overview of the IYS. There is an opt-out option that any family may choose to use. Please see the Parent FAQs document for answers to commonly asked questions about the IYS.
