GUIDANCE:
The National Hispanic Institute (NHI) will visit UT tomorrow, Dec 9, during Period 3 to meet with freshman, sophomore, and junior students. If you want to develop community leadership skills, learn how to become involved in civic engagement, as well as prepare for college, you will want to hear this presentation. If you want to know more about NHI and the work they are doing in the Hispanic community, you will want to hear this presentation. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to sign up. If you are interested in visiting with Mr. Julio Cotto from the National Hispanic Institute, please sign up in the Guidance Office. See Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, with questions.
Students, the Hampton Youth Committee has two (2) volunteer opportunities for December: First - Saturday, Dec 13 from 9 - 11 a.m., the Committee will host CRAFTS WITH SANTA. This event involves games and hands-on crafts for kids of various ages.
Second - this event takes place on Saturday, Dec 20, from 2 - 5. The committee will present the GRINCH UNSLUMBER PARTY. Volunteers needed to babysit toddlers for 3 hours (2 - 5 p.m.). See Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, for sign-up info.
The ISAC representative, Ms. Eden DeTombe, will be at UT on Wednesday, Dec 10. If you need to start or complete the FAFSA, please sign up in the Guidance Office to meet with Ms. DeTombe this coming Wednesday. Completing the FAFSA is the only way to receive federal, state, and institutional money to help pay for college or trade school. See your counselor or Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, with questions.

Link Crew is hosting a cocoa and cookies event for all freshmen to enjoy. Please join us in the commons after school on Wednesday, December 17th, from 3:15 to 4:15. We will decorate cookies and enjoy some cocoa. The bus will be available for students who need a ride. Link Leaders - please let Ms. LaFountaine or Mrs. Drish know if you can help out.
Join us on Thursday, December 12, for a Fosters Voice meeting in gym B @ 7 am! Also, don’t forget that we have a meeting next week to wrap up the semester! Bring a friend and have a donut!
