Attention Sophomores. This is a reminder that the ACC Career Day is Thursday, January 22nd. During periods 1 through 4 and periods 6 through 8, all Sophomores should report directly to Gym A instead of their PE, Health, or Driver’s Ed class. Sophomores who have PE, Health, or Driver’s Ed during 5th period will receive a pass to attend the Career Day during their current lunch period and take lunch during 5th Period. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Hood in the ACC office.
GUIDANCE:
Are you planning to attend Black Hawk College and still need to apply? Applying is free now through January 17th.
The US Coast Guard will be at UT today in the Commons area during all 3 lunch periods. America's Coast Guard is involved in maritime law enforcement, search & rescue, environmental protections, and defense and security on our nation's waterways.
Stop by and visit with the Coast Guard rep to find out more what the Guard does to keep America safe and how the Guard can help you reach your life goals.
SPORTS:
Interested in competitive gaming? Join UT's high school Esports Team! We’re recruiting players for Rocket League and NBA 2K26. Compete online against other high schools, earn playoff spots, and compete for the IHSA State Championship. For information, meet with Mr. Garcia in room 236N BEFORE January 23rd.
All boys interested in joining the track and field team who are not in a winter sport should attend a brief meeting on Thursday, January 15th, after school in the Commons. See Coach Holschbach in 234 if you can't attend.
CLUBS:
Attention Students! We have our next P7 meeting this Friday in 251 N! The start time will now be at 7:20... Can't wait to see you there!
Spring musical information incoming! The informational meeting for SHREK will take place on Tuesday, January 20th @ 3:15 in the auditorium. Auditions will be the following Tuesday and Wednesday after school. SHREK is most likely the largest musical we have undertaken in the last 15 years, and it will take a large group of talented students to pull it off! There are a wide array of opportunities for everyone in the cast and crews. We aren't kidding when we say this is going to be big! Come to the meeting next Tuesday at 3:15 to learn all about this great opportunity. You'll be glad you did! Speak to Mr. Greer in 224E with any questions.
Students! The Student Council will be meeting this Friday, January 16th in room 109S @ 7:30am. Come to the meeting, enjoy a donut, and cast your vote for the Sadies theme!
Tri-M will meet Thursday, Jan 15th, after school in the Choir Room. The agenda includes potential new member invitations & induction ceremony plans, and Music in Our School Week plans. Students who have recently received invitations to join Tri-M may attend along with current members.
