Attention Sophomores. This is a reminder that the ACC Career Day is Thursday, January 22nd. During periods 1 through 4 and periods 6 through 8, all Sophomores should report directly to Gym A instead of their PE, Health, or Driver’s Ed class. Sophomores who have PE, Health, or Driver’s Ed during 5th period will receive a pass to attend the Career Day during their current lunch period and take lunch during 5th Period. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Hood in the ACC office.

GUIDANCE:

Are you planning to attend Black Hawk College and still need to apply? Applying is free now through January 17th.

SPORTS:

Interested in competitive gaming? Join UT's high school Esports Team! We’re recruiting players for Rocket League and NBA 2K26. Compete online against other high schools, earn playoff spots, and compete for the IHSA State Championship. For information, meet with Mr. Garcia in room 236N BEFORE January 23rd.

CLUBS:

Spring musical information incoming! The informational meeting for SHREK will take place on Tuesday, January 20th @ 3:15 in the auditorium. Auditions will be the following Tuesday and Wednesday after school. SHREK is most likely the largest musical we have undertaken in the last 15 years, and it will take a large group of talented students to pull it off! There are a wide array of opportunities for everyone in the cast and crews. We aren't kidding when we say this is going to be big! Come to the meeting this coming Tuesday at 3:15 to learn all about this great opportunity. You'll be glad you did! Speak to Mr. Greer in 224E with any questions.

Buzz Buzz! Hey there, Honey Bees! We have an amazing opportunity to visit Augustana College on Monday, January 26, from 8am-3pm. An Augustana College communications class is designing workshops for Honey Bees centered around healthy communication. Topics will focus on social media and body image, communication strategies for friendships/romantic relationships/etc., and a few more. The field trip will also include lunch at Augie. Please see Ms. Clearman to reserve your spot!
