Attention Sophomores. This is a reminder that the ACC Career Day is Thursday, January 22nd. During periods 1 through 4 and periods 6 through 8, all Sophomores should report directly to Gym A instead of their PE, Health, or Driver’s Ed class. Sophomores who have PE, Health, or Driver’s Ed during 5th period will receive a pass to attend the Career Day during their current lunch period and take lunch during 5th Period. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Hood in the ACC office.
GUIDANCE:
LIGHTS, CAMERA, FUTURE - Fresh Films, a Quad City-based company, will be at UT on Friday, January 23, during Period 6 to meet with students interested in the film industry. Hands-on training, mentorships, and experience on REAL film sets. ALL for FREE! Sign-up is available in the Counseling Office. See Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, with questions.
SPORTS:
There will be an open gym for girls' soccer today, January 21st, from 7 pm to 9 pm. We will meet in Gym B. If you have any questions, contact one of the soccer coaches.
CLUBS:
Buzz Buzz! Hey there, Honey Bees! We have an amazing opportunity to visit Augustana College on Monday, January 26, from 8 am-3 pm. An Augustana College communications class is designing workshops for Honey Bees centered around healthy communication. Topics will focus on social media and body image, communication strategies for friendships/romantic relationships/etc., and a few more. The field trip will also include lunch at Augie. Please see Ms. Clearman to reserve your spot!
Gamers club will meet this Friday in 149N.
Students! The Student Council will be meeting this Friday, January 23rd in room 109S @ 7:30am. Come to the meeting, and learn more about Sadies!
Audition and crew information for the spring musical, SHREK, can be found on the Panther Players Google Classroom! Interested students should join the classroom by either emailing Mr. Greer or using the code outside his classroom, 224E. Cast and crew applications are due by this Monday, January 26th at 12:30pm. Again, this is a gigantic show, and we need all sorts of people to audition and help backstage. We hope you join us!
