There will be no activity bus today due to mandatory training. The activity bus will resume its normal schedule tomorrow.

Seniors, please check your UT student email for an important message titled “UTHS Class of 2026 Important Form.” You must complete this form as soon as possible to ensure you are able to receive a digital copy of your diploma upon graduation. This form must be completed by the end of the school day tomorrow. Any questions, please see CJ in the Counseling Office.

Attention Students! Sadie’s is happening on February 21st!  Get ready for a magical night with our Winter Wonderland theme. Ticket sales will be on Tuesday, February 17th, and Thursday, February 19th. For more details or questions, be sure to attend this week’s Student Council meeting.

WQAD News 8 invites students to honor an outstanding educator by submitting a short essay for the My Favorite Teacher Contest. Five winners will be featured on WQAD in March/April 2026. Entry Window is open now through Feb. 8, 2026. It's that time of the year to make the Plunge for the Special Olympics teams and athletes. We are asking all coaches, clubs, and organizations to come out and participate. There are two ways to support. Plunge as a team or sponsor an athlete. Polar Plunge packets will be available in the general office for pickup. Please have your teams turned in by February 26th. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Sanders-Colgan.

Students! Get excited for the upcoming Panther Pant! The official date is Wednesday, April 22nd. The 1 mile at 5:30 and 3 mile at 6:00pm. For updates and additional information, reach out to Student Council or attend our daily meetings every Friday.

GUIDANCE:

Students, the last day to record Community Service Hours or volunteer hours is February 26. You must have earned 100 community service hours to be eligible to wear the Silver cord at graduation. Those hours need to be reported by February 26. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS!!! February 26 is the deadline to submit community service hours. If you have questions, please see Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.

Student, LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! Fresh Films, a local film production company, will be at UT on Friday, February 6 to meet with students during Period 6. If you have an interest in working in the film industry, or want to rub noses with film industry executives, or want to learn how you can earn volunteer hours working behind the camera, then sign up in the Counseling Office to visit with Fresh Films reps this coming Friday.  

Students, the Silvis Rocket Boosters are looking for volunteers to help with concessions at the middle school basketball games. If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, see Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, for more information. 

Any juniors who missed the registration presentation should stop by the counseling office to get the materials. You can find a link to the presentation and directions in your email. Online registration will end on the night of February 10th and you will meet with counselors on February 10th and 11th. 

Students, the University of Chicago is visiting UT today during Period 3. The visit will take place in the Center Conference Room during Period 3. No sign-up is necessary. If you are thinking about going to UIC or want to find out more about the university, please get permission from your teacher to be present.

Multicultural Club is hosting a Black History Month Door Decorating Contest. Deadline for completion is Friday, February 6. Please see the flyers around school for details. Judging will occur on February 17. Prizes will be given to second period class winners. 

Gamers Club will meet this Friday in 149N.

Students! The Student Council will be meeting this Friday, February 6th in room 109S @ 7:30am.  Come to the meeting, and learn more about Sadies, The Panther Pant, The Polar Plunge and volunteer opportunities!

Good morning, students! P7 will be meeting again this Friday at 7:20 in 251N. Come to hear a lesson on God's love, along with a snack and some fun! See you there!

The LGBT+ club is having a meeting next week in Miss Williams' room 125E, after school, on Tuesday, February 10th. The club will be planning their Comfy Day event, afterwards activities and snacks will be available to celebrate Valentine's Day!
