Black History Month Events this week, sponsored by Multicultural Club, iJAG, and HOPE Club. Join us as we celebrate Black History Month this week!
Today’s theme is Sunday Best - Dress formally, come looking your best!
Tomorrow is Pan-African Pride Day - Wear red, green, yellow, or black.
Friday: Black Activism Day - Wear natural hair, fresh sneakers, BLM apparel, cultural prints, etc. Enjoy the Photo Booth in the Commons during your lunch period on this day.
It's that time of the year to make the Plunge for the Special Olympics teams and athletes. We are asking all coaches, clubs, and organizations to come out and participate. There are two ways to support. Plunge as a team or sponsor an athlete. Polar Plunge packets will be available in the general office for pickup. Please have your teams turned in by February 26th. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Sanders-Colgan.
Calling all Panther fans...Skyline would like your picture-taking assistance. Please consider sharing your Sadies pictures, or any other 2025-26 school year pictures, with the crew. Sharing your pics is easy as 1, 2, 3! All you need to do is scan the QR code in the north hallway Skyline display case and on the announcement boards near the drinking fountains. GUIDANCE:
Students, the last day to record Community Service Hours or volunteer hours is February 26. You must have earned 100 community service hours to be eligible to wear the Silver cord at graduation. Those hours need to be reported by February 26. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS!!! February 26 is the deadline to submit community service hours. If you have questions, please see Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.
Seniors, interested in the University of Missouri (aka, University of Mizzou)? Have you applied or been accepted at Mizzou? Are you interested in majoring in Business at Mizzou? If so, Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, has great news for you. The Trulaske College of Business at Mizzou has 4 exciting opportunities for Spring 2026 graduates. You must apply by March 1, 2026. See Mr. Davis for more information.
Students, Ms. Eden DeTombe, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will visit UTHS today, February 25, from 9:00 - 11:30 to meet with students. If you need to complete the FAFSA or have questions for Ms. DeTombe related to the FAFSA, please sign up in the Counseling Office to meet with her. If you have questions or require additional information, see your counselor or Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.
SPORTS:
For any boys interested in playing boys' tennis this spring, there will be a quick informational meeting after school in Coach Cahalan's room (226E) today, February 25th. Please see Coach Cahalan if you cannot attend.
CLUBS:
Students! Get excited for the upcoming Panther Pant! Did you know there are about 2,000 steps in one mile? The official date is Wednesday, April 22nd. The 1 mile at 5:30 and 3 miles at 6:00 pm. For updates and additional information, reach out to the Student Council or attend our weekly meetings every Friday.
H.O.P.E. Club will be meeting today in room 189V at 3:15 pm.
The Student Council will meet this Friday, February 27th, in the AUDITORIUM @ 7:30 am. For more on volunteer hours, the Polar Plunge, and the Panther Pant, be sure to attend!
Calling all Unified Sports members: we will be having a meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:20 am in the auditorium to discuss our big upcoming events! We need all the help we can get. We hope to see all of you there!
