GENERAL INFORMATION:
We have tons of great artists in our school. We would like to replace the AI image used on our website for the daily announcements with original student work. Submit your designs to Mr. Kai Killam at kkillam@uths.net by Friday, August 21, 2026. We will announce the winner on Monday, August 24, 2026. Please submit as PNG file.
School picture days are on the horizon. Photographic Arts will be at UTEC on Tuesday, August 18 to take pictures of all UTEC students and staff and any Remote or Homebound students from 9-11am. They will then head over to the UTHS auditorium for the remainder of the week. The schedule is as follows: Wednesday, August 19 is Freshman picture day, Thursday, August 20 is Sophomore and Junior picture day, and Friday, August 21 is Senior picture day. Students will be photographed during their English class. If a senior does not have a first semester English class, it is their responsibility to go to the auditorium on their own time, but only on Friday from 8:00-3:00. COUNSELING:
Students, Black Hawk College will visit UT on Tuesday, August 25. Sign up in the Counseling Office to visit with the Black Hawk representative. If you have questions, please see your school Counselor or visit Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.

Students, the ISAC representative, Ms. Eden DeTombe, will visit UT to help you with the FAFSA - the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.Visits will take place during school days on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 - 11:30 beginning August 26, 2026 and ending April 28, 2027. Appointments to visit with Ms. DeTombe are scheduled. The sign up book is located in the Counseling Office. Please see your school counselor or Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor, if you have questions.
CLUBS:
Are you interested in mental health? Want to learn more about how the brain works? What does your personality say about you? Interested in studying psychology in the future? If so, join UT’s newest club The Psychology Club! The first meeting is Tuesday, August 25th from 3:15-4:15pm in room 223E. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Bring a friend and enjoy cookies! If you have any questions, feel free to stop by Ms Monson’s room 223E.
Have you always had an interest in the healthcare field? Have you ever wanted to have more experiences in the field prior to leaving high school? If so, the H.O.P.E. Club is for you. This club offers opportunities to learn to be future health professionals through exploration, career & technical education, leadership development and service. The first meeting of the year is this Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 3:15pm in room 189V. We look forward to seeing you there!

Everyone is welcome to attend the first Interact Club meeting of the year. We will meet at 7:30am in Room 119C on Wednesday, August 26th. The Interact Club focuses on Service Above Self and promotes volunteering around our community. Come check us out. See Mrs. Drish in the counseling office if you have any questions.
If you want to have a say in the Junior Class shirt now is your time! On the student council Google Classroom you can vote on two shirts until 3:00 PM on Wednesday August 19th.
Hi Panthers! We have our first student council volunteer opportunity coming up next Monday and Wednesday, if you are interested in painting paws on driveways make sure you sign up and come to this Fridays meeting in room 109S on Friday at 7:30
